Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions.
- Meet with students to discuss their emotional,
social, mental and/or lifestyle concerns.
- Collaborate and consult with students, parents,
teachers, leadership team members and other stakeholders.
- Discuss desired goals and outcomes with students
and assist them in formulating goals and adopting strategies to address
their respective concerns.
- Provide relevant information or resources specific
to students’ needs.
- Compile regular reports on students’ progress.
- Monitor student progress.
- Conduct weekly case management meetings with the
Student Support Coordinator.
- Share strategies supporting students’
socio-emotional achievement with parents, teachers and other educators.
- Actively assist students individually and as grades
with various transition phases as they progress through school i.e. Early
years to PYP, PYP to MYP, MYP to DP and DP to University.
- Support students and families with school and/or
community resources for additional assistance.
- Provide crisis support and assistance to the
students, teachers and families.
- Act as a facilitator of group counselling sessions
or a mediator in a conflict resolution situation.
- Refer students to other healthcare professionals
where appropriate.
- Formulate and execute lesson plans on life skills.
- Offer PDs on various topics to support students’
socio-emotional development.
- Attend necessary training and opportunities for
professional development under the directive of the Management.
- Ensure all company values are understood and
practised.
